get your texas tabc Seller-Server training today

A seller-server training program helps new and current alcohol servers keep up to date on laws and regulations that govern the sale of alcohol in the State of Texas. While it is not an official requirement to serve alcohol in Texas, most employers will require you to complete a TABC course before you are allowed to work.

This TABC Seller-Server Training Course is modeled after the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code and has been approved by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. It is periodically updated to stay current with the Beverage Code and to improve quality.

This course is available in English and Español.

How do I Get Started?

After you open your course, you can select the course language from the drop down menu at the top.

how this course works

At the beginning of the course, you must submit your Social Security Number (SNN) and Date of Birth (DOB). Alternatively, you may submit a Machine-Readable Immigrant Visa (MRIV) or Individual Tax ID Number (ITIN) instead of the SSN. These are necessary for the TABC to record your certification and make it available to employers.

Each lesson contains detailed information on the topic and fun exercises. Self-paced lessons take less than 15 minutes and have a voice-over option that reads the lesson aloud. There are short 5 minute quizzes after each lesson.

A final exam is offered once all 4 lessons are completed. To get your TABC Certificate, you must achieve a 70%.

Does Responsible Training Register my Certificate with the TABC after I complete the requirements?
